June 2009 – the hyundai i30cw gets a new base engine: the 1.4-liter gasoline engine with variable valve timing produces 109 hp and brings the compact station wagon to up to 187 km (187 miles). For the sprint to 100 km/h the korean needs 12.6 seconds. Hyundai gives the average consumption with 6.3 liters of super, the co2 emission with 150 grams per kilometer.
Standard with air conditioning and cd radio
The i30cw 1.4 is offered in two equipment lines: classic and comfort. The standard equipment includes brake assist, the esp electronic stability program, active head restraints and six airbags. In addition, there is air conditioning, a coolable glove compartment, power windows at the front and an on-board computer. The cd radio offers a usb and an ipod connection. The hyundai i30cw 1.4 is available from 16.340 euros, the higher-value comfort variant costs from 18.440 euros.
Classic models will be a little more expensive in the future
With the introduction of the 1.4-liter gasoline engine, the most favorable equipment variant, classic, is newly tailored for all i30cw models. A luggage compartment roller blind is now standard equipment. The i30cw 1.6 classic will be discontinued. At the same time, prices for the classic models will rise slightly: as a 1.6-liter diesel with 90 hp, the i30cw now costs 100 euros more and thus at least 17.240 euros. The 116-horsepower diesel is 200 euros more expensive and will be available from 18,840 euros.840 euros.
